Al Reeder

Alan John Reeder, Vice President and California Commissioner of the Clan Maxwell Society of the USA, died August 17, 2009 and will be buried at the Riverside, California, National Cemetery on September 16. He was 61 and is survived by his daughter Gretchen, grandson Zack Bertram, his mother Mary Reeder, brother Robert Reeder and Sister Janis DeBoard.  A longtime CalTrans employee in Sacramento, California, Al was the leader of Clan Maxwell activities on the west coast for many years.  He hosted Maxwell tents at several major Scottish festivals in California each year in addition to his leadership roles in the national organiation. We mourn his passing, but we are grateful for his leadership and, most of all, for his friendship over the years.
The family has asked that donations be made to the local American Heart Association , in lieu of flowers.
